Joanne Morando


Joanne Morando brings essential skills for a family law attorney, including expressing empathy and compassion for people involved in some of the most difficult times of their lives, triage of unexpected situations that require immediate attention, and excellent organization and deadline management. Joanne builds a relationship of trust with her clients by listening to their concerns and prioritizing their goals when developing a legal strategy. She has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation including discovery, motions practice, depositions, mediations, settlement negotiations, and trials. Joanne has tried more than 50 jury trials as lead attorney throughout Colorado.

Prior to joining Wells Family Law, Joanne spent four years as a Deputy District Attorney. She handled an extensive criminal caseload, comprised entirely of felony cases, including homicides, sexual assaults, crimes of violence, and others. Joanne’s experience as a criminal prosecutor built her straightforward and dynamic courtroom presence. Her comprehensive knowledge of criminal law is essential for clients with family law issues that intersect with the Colorado criminal justice system.

Outside of the practice of law, Joanne enjoys playing tennis, biking, snowboarding, backpacking, cheering for the Kansas Jayhawks, and spending time with her family.
